About me

I am a self-taught artist who primarily uses oil paint as my medium. Occasionally, I mix oil with acrylics and other mediums. I always wanted to paint but never knew where to start. My sister is an accomplished artist and incredible teacher. In my early 70’s I had an opportunity to sit in on one of her art classes…I was hooked on oil painting from that moment. 

I love to teach people who feel like I did back then – they want to learn to paint, but don’t know where to start. I also love working with artists who just want to learn new techniques. I offer workshops for artists of all levels.

Most of my work has been commission pieces painted from photographs. I enjoy learning from other artists’ work and the videos they so generously share.
