I can’t even draw a stick figure. Can I learn to paint?

 

Yes, you don’t really need to know how to draw in order to paint. You’ll be surprised at what you can do!

 

How much do your workshops cost?

 

Four-hour workshops are $125 per person, if there are four or less students. If there are five or more students, workshops are six hours. Classes are kept small to ensure each student gets the individual attention they deserve. At the end of the workshop students leave with their finished canvas, 18 tubes of paint and 24 brushes. Everything you need to continue to paint!

 

Do you teach acrylics?

 

I primarily teach oil painting but many of the principals you learn in oil painting also apply to acrylics.

 

How long does it take to have a painting done from a photo? And how much does it cost?

 

The time involved really depends on the size and complexity of the painting. That will also determine the price. For a quote, all I need is a copy of the photo. I can then give you information on various options, pricing, and the time needed to complete the commission.

 

Are your workshops like Painting with a Twist® or Pinot’s Palette®?

 

No, my workshops are focused on proper painting techniques and styles. You will learn about perspective, shading, depth, color and more. At the end of the workshop students will be comfortable going home and continuing to paint.

 

Can I use cold wax with oil paint?

 

Yes, cold wax is a technique I don’t teach in my beginner workshop but I am planning a more advanced class where you will be taught to combine different mediums.
